"Delivery was hit or miss"
I ordered once and everything showed up just fine, but the next time it was a few days late. Support did reply, but they didn’t really give me much of an update, so that part was weird. Overall, it was okay, just not super consistent.

"Not gonna lie, the prices felt too high"
Not gonna lie, I checked out topshelfwineandspirits.com hoping I’d find a decent deal, but the prices were noticeably higher than other places I usually buy from. Even some basic bottles seemed marked up. After comparing a few items, it just didn’t really make sense for me to place an order. Maybe it’s fine if you’re not price-checking, but I did, and ended up leaving

"Tracking barely updated, but it eventually was what it was"
I ordered from topshelfwineandspirits.com the tracking was frustrating. It sat on “label created” for days, and after that there still weren’t any real updates, so I kept checking and seeing the same thing.

I tried to give it some time and not overreact, but when you’re paying for shipping, you expect at least a basic idea of where your order is. I kind of had to just accept the lack of communication, but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to order again

"Stock info wasn’t accurate"
I ordered a bottle because the website said it was in stock, so I figured everything was good to go. Then later I got an email saying they didn’t actually have it, which was frustrating.

It’s the kind of thing where you just want to feel confident that if you pay for something, it’s really available. What made it worse was that the listing still seemed to be up afterward, so I wasn’t sure how often they’re actually updating their inventory.

Customer service was polite enough, but the whole situation still wasted my time and left me second-guessing ordering from them again. I’d need some reassurance that their stock info is accurate before I’d try another purchase

"Rare bottle showed in stock, but it really wasn’t"
I ordered a rare bottle because the site clearly showed it was available, and I figured that meant they actually had it ready to ship. A few days went by, and then I got an email saying it wasn’t available after all, and they offered me some other options instead. I get that inventory mistakes can happen, especially with harder-to-find bottles, but it’s still frustrating because I wouldn’t have placed the order in the first place if the listing had been accurate. It feels like the stock should be updated before customers are allowed to check out and pay for something. Not the end of the world, but definitely annoying.

"Rough first impression with the age check"
My first impression of topshelfwineandspirits.com wasn’t great because the age verification process was immediately frustrating. I’m totally fine with needing to prove my age, but it kept making me redo steps without clearly telling me what I’d done wrong. The whole thing felt clunky right from the start, and after wasting too much time on it, I just gave up instead of placing the order.

The wine itself was fine, no complaints there, but the bottle showed up looking scuffed and dusty, like it had been sitting around forever. I bought it as a gift, so it was frustrating having to feel like I was begging for it to look presentable. Kind of left a bad taste before we even opened it...

"My order showed up in this flimsy box..."
My order showed up in this flimsy box with almost no padding at all. One of the bottles was just rattling around loose, and the labels were all scuffed up like nobody even cared. For what they charge, you’d think they’d know how to pack bottles properly, but companies always seem to cut corners on stuff like this. Definitely not ordering again.

"Decent site, but I got a little impatient"
I hopped on topshelfwineandspirits.com just to browse for a minute, and my first reaction was basically, “Okay, this is fine.” The main menu made sense, and I could get to the usual sections without feeling totally lost.

That said, a few pages dragged a bit, and the filters didn’t feel as smooth as I expected. I kept clicking around thinking, “Wait, why is this taking more effort than it should?” especially when I was trying to find specific bottles.

Overall, it’s not a bad site at all, and it gets the job done. I just wish the navigation felt a little cleaner and quicker so browsing didn’t feel like a small chore.

I did get my refund in the end, so that’s good, but it definitely took longer than I thought it would. I kept checking and wondering if I needed to follow up again, which was a little annoying, but yeah, it eventually showed up.

"Good prices, but not always the best deal"
I’ve ordered from Top Shelf Wine and Spirits once, and I’ve browsed around on the site a few other times too. The prices are decent, decent enough that some bottles were cheaper than what I’d find at my local store, but once shipping gets added in, a few of them end up being about the same.
The selection is good, and I do like having the option to look around online. That said, the overall value feels a little hit or miss. It’s not bad at all, just not one of those places I’d automatically use every single time.
